Explanation- This stanza is a good example of Name
of poet 's simplicity of words

diction. Poet has tried his best to glorify Subject". Poet comes before us
as a
true
lover of nature . These line are highly musical ." subject is seen in the
whole
stanza.The
poet is able to produce a great effect on our mind and heart. The poem
is
a good expression of poet's mind and heart.

Risk
Reference- These beautiful poetic lines have been taken from our
textbook Golden rays poem ‘Risks’ composed by a very famous poet "Janet Rand" who inspires people with his inspiring words.
Context – In theses marvellous lines poet says that a risk is involved in
everything we do. Our life is full of risk. A person who avoids taking risks
gets nothing in his life.
Explanation – Risk is an
inspiration poem. The poet says that risk in involved in everything we do
either it normal or abnormal. Even laughing, weeping and such other simple
activities are not without risks. Poet inspires people to take risk . If a
person wants to grow in life, he or she must get ready to take risk. A life
without risk is a danger itself. one who
does not take risks, can do nothing in his life . So we must take risk.

An Elegy on the Death of a Mad Dog
Reference- These lines have been taken from our
textbook Golden rays poem ‘An Elegy on the death of a mad dog’ composed by
Oliver Goldsmith.
Context – The poet tells a story of a man and a mad
dog. He tells that there are many people who more poisonous than a mad dog.
Explanation – The poet
says that a man lived in Islington. He led a life of morality based on
religious principles. The man have a dog who is his best friend but later it becomes his enemy. The dog wants to take
revenge. Because it is the Dog’s personal end. So the Dog goes mad and bits the Man. All religious people
were sad to see it. They were also as much sure that the Man bitten by the mad
dog would also die But soon a wonderful event takes a place. The man whose
death had been expected by the people, recovered of the bite of the mad dog. Instead of man ,
the mad dog dies. It was quite an unusual thing .
The
Lotus
Reference: These
lines have been taken from the poem 'The Lotus' Written by Toru Dutt, a poetic
genius.
Context : In
these lines, the poetess creates a myth to describe the matchless beauty of the
Lotus. She says that this flower retains the whiteness of the lily and the
redness of the rose. So neither the lily nor the rose can equal the beauty of
the Lotus.
Explanation: In
these lines the poetess said that once love came to Flora. He asked her for a
flower that would be the queen of all flowers. He also said that it should be
as fragrant as the rose and as majestic as the lily. Flora asked him what
color he wanted it to be. Love first chose rose-red; then he chose lily-white.
But then he said that it would be better if
it was beautiful flower that keeps dancing in the air.
My
Good Right hand
Reference- These lines have been taken from our
textbook Golden rays poem ‘My Good Right Hand’ composed by Charles Mackay.
Context – The poet once might a rich man but later was
afflicted with a miserable poor condition.
Explanation – The poet
says that once he had to face evil days. He think that his friends and
relatives will help him. He sought help from
friends but they gave only their good advice. No one helps him. His
friends avoids his company. But he did not lose courage. Poet’s trust is
in god and his hard work. After all he worked hard and all his troubles and
difficulties left him. His faith in God and in his hard work gave him food and
cloth well.
